| WHMIS
(Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System)
This
module covers the requirements covered under regulation 644/88 of the
Ontario Occupational Health and Safety Act. It is an information system
which provides workers with knowledge of any health hazardous to which
they may be exposed when working with certain products. This module covers
the three main elements of the program: labeling, material safety data
sheet (MSDS) and worker instruction.
At
the conclusion of this module, attendees will be trained and certified.
This module is 4 to 6 hours in duration depending on group size.
Who should
attend?
All employees, all supervision and all management directly involved
in handling and/or disposition of hazardous materials.
Spill Response
This
module covers the requirements set forth in Ontario Provincial Regulations
360. This module provides instruction for the handling and reporting of
required clean up activities. This module will also outline the compensation
criteria used to determine payment to affected parties injured as a result
of a spill. Attendees will be trained and certified. This module is 4
hours in duration.
Who should
attend?
All employees,
all supervision and all management designated as members of an emergency
response team or charged with the responsibility for clean up.
